Hearing Accessibility Growing Across the US
We continue to see hearing loops installed in many locations across the country. Here are a few locations rightfully boasting about hearing access. Let the continued interest in hearing access and hearing loops serve as a reminder to hearing healthcare professionals to fit and program individuals with hearing instruments that have manually accessible T Coils.
St. Dunstan’s Episcopal Church, San Diego, California, whose website was under construction at the time this blog was posted, has a hearing loop. Please visit their website in the future to learn about their hearing loop.
Rhode Island Libraries will be receiving grant money to provide hearing access via a hearing loop for their patrons. Several libraries in New York City and on Long Island also have hearing loops.
Bus riders who are deaf or hard of hearing and use cochlear implants or hearing aids now can use a newly installed hearing ‘loop’ system at King County Metro’s Customer Service Office at 201 South Jackson Street in Seattle.
